స్వామి వివేకానందుని పద్య కవితలు

స్వామి వివేకానందుడు, ఆధ్యాత్మిక ఉపన్యాసాలు జగత్ప్రసిద్ధములే!ఆయన భక్తి గీతాలను కూడా రచన కూడా చేసారు.స్వామీజీ 33 పద్యాలను వ్రాసారు.   వానిలో 2 అనువాదాలు; 8 బెంగాలీ భాష ; 4 సంస్కృత భాష; 1 హిందీ ; రచనలు కొన్ని ఇంగ్లీషు కవితలు
 కాశ్మీరులో రాజ్ఞీయ దేవి కొలువై ఉన్నది.ఈమె దుర్గా మాత అవతార స్వరూపిణి. ఈమె "త్రిపుర" అనే నామమును సైతము దాల్చినది.కాశ్మీరులో క్షీర భవానీ దేవీ  కోవెల ముఖ్యమైనది.SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి, తల్లిని పూజించాడు. మూడు కవితలు , ఆయన మానస తూలిక  నుండి జాలువారినవి. poems- only three- “To the Awakened India”, “To the Fourth of July” and “Kali the Mother”డాల్ సరస్సు(1898) లో నౌకా విహారము చేస్తున్నారు స్వామి. ఆ శీతల పవన వీచికలు ఆయన మనో నేత్రములో చిత్రీకరణ గావించిన క్షీర భవానీ దేవిని కవితా పద చిత్రణలో "మాతృ దేవత" ఆవిష్కరణ అలవోకగా జరిగిన అందమైన సన్నివేశమది.
             Kali the Mother

The stars are blotted out,

          The clouds are covering clouds

It is darkness vibrant, sonant.

In the roaring, whirling wind

          Are the souls of a million lunatics

Just loosed from the prison-house,

          Wrenching trees by the roots,

Sweeping all from the path.

         The sea has joined the fray,

And swirled up mountain-waves,

          To reach the pitchy sky.

The flash of lurid light     

          Reveals on every sideA thousand,

thousand shadesOf Death begrimed 

          and black-Scattering plagues and sorrows,

Dancing mad with joy,Come, Mother, 

          come!For terror is Thy name,

Death is in thy breath,

          And every shaking stepDestoys a world for e'er.

Thou Time, the All-destroyer!Come, 

          O Mother, come!

Who dares misery love,

          And hug the form of Death,  

Dance in destruction's dance

         To him the Mother comes.

after visiting the Kshir Bhavani Temple.
